HIDA STAFF MEET WITH PROCESS CONSULTANCY TEAM

Key issues discussed at this meeting include the following:

•  Work plan for the process consultancy

•  Managing expectations of HIDA’s clients and stakeholders

• How does HIDA achieve the goal of being a “One Stop Shop for Quality Assurance in Capacity Building for Sustainable Development”

• Effective and timely communication is very paramount for the success of HIDA’s interventions

• Contract management is equally important as the procurement process

• Retreat to be organised for staff, board, clients and selected development partners.

ASI has been contracted by HIDA with the support from World Bank through the Public Sector Capacity Building Project (PSCBP) to provide a second phase of a process and change management consultancy that would build upon the achievements of the first phase, in enabling HIDA to implement its mandate, meet the objectives defined in the MSCBP/PSCBP and respond to the demands of its stakeholders effectively. The duration of this assignment is 12 months.

The major objective of the assignment will be for ASI to assist HIDA in achieving its vision of becoming a one stop shop for quality assurance in capacity building for sustainable national development. This will be achieved by helping HIDA staff to further deepen organisational foundations, practices and skills and achieve key results for the years 2007 -08 while enrolling client institutions in its implementation.

In this regard, the consulting team will provide coaching, process facilitation and change management support to HIDA, in particular its Director and staff but also working with the Board of Directors and HIDA’s clients.
