MAPPING OF ON GOING AND PLANNED CAPACITY BUILDING ACTIVITIES COMMENCES
“One of the key roles of HIDA is coordination of capacity building activities in the country. In order for this to be done effectively and efficiently, a comprehensive assessment of ongoing and planned capacity building interventions in the public sector, private sector and civil society organizations is essential,” explained Mr. Emmanuel Rutsimba, M&E Specialist at HIDA.
This information will provide input to a “tableau de bord” on on-going and planned capacity building activities by government, development partners and other stakeholders in the country.
On this note, the Ministry of Public Service and Labour with support from UNDP and facilitation from HIDA launched the Mapping Exercise in June which will run till August 2007. A Final Report will be complied detailing out the ongoing and planned CB interventions across all sectors in the economy, resources earmarked to carry them out, the institutions and sectors where those activities are carried out, the financing institutions (development partners), targeted outputs, performance indicators and the project development objectives. The final report is expected in the 4th week of August 2007.
