Human Resources Management Manual
HIDA recognises that its staff members are its most valuable asset. Consequently sound human resource management is recognised as an iterative process within the organisation. The “life cycle” approach to human resource development that HIDA has adopted ensures that high quality human resource development is available for all staff members from the time that a candidate is sought for a vacant post up until that person leaves the organisation. In this way HIDA aims to provide a sound working environment that will enable all staff to perform his or her individual role to the best of their ability and contribute effectively as a team member. To underpin individual staff and team performances the Director and the Unit team leaders are committed to providing strong leadership and fair and timely decision making.
HIDA HRD Manual provides all HIDA staff members with information and clear guidelines about the agreed HR policies, procedures and practices to ensure that the Human Resource Development is an iterative process within the Agency. The Governing Council members, Director and HIDA team leaders have a responsibility to become familiar with the contents of the HRD Manual and to promote best practice in Human Resource Development within HIDA and across all the organisations with which they are involved.
It should be noted that the contents of this manual are mainly for the benefit of HIDA Staff.
