Visit of the ACBF Missions

From 5 to 16 June 2006, HIDA hosted a Supervision Mission from the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF). The team from ACBF was led by the Program Team Leader Mrs. S.L.M. Dormeyan who was accompanied by Ms. Nyawira Miano, a Program Officer.

This objective of this mission was to review capacity building activities that HIDA was undertaking under the two grants (65 and 143) and also to identify possible areas of supporting the private sector and the civil society.

During their stay here, the ACBF team met heads of client institutions, where issues concerning implementation of projects were discussed.

A consultative seminar organized by HIDA and ACBFA was organized with the private sector, civil society and government officials and held on June 15 2006. This workshop generated discussion particularly on the interface between the non state actors. ACBF also used this occasion to brief participants on possible capacity building support. The concerned participants were requested to prepare project proposals to this effect.

Later on 19 – 23 June 2006, Ms. Muchazowonei Chadoka-Tsiga, the Internal Audit Officer came on a Special Financial Supervision Mission. The objective of the mission was to review financial operations of the Agency.
