The new Secreatry General in the Ministry of Health, Mrs Carol Kayonga was working with HIDA as Senior procurement Specialist prior to her new appointment.

In a farewell party well attended by all HIDA staff at Flamingo restaurant in Kigali, the HIDA Director Mr. Karake Charles praised the new Parmanent Secretary as a dedicated, skilled and highly professional employee. Carol was a role model to other specialists especially in the procurement area. He asked the New Parmanent Secretary to keep the spirit of hard work and dedication to service.

In his speech, Mr Emmanuel Rutsimba who spoke on behalf of HIDA Staff praised the outgoing officer saying that she was role model to everyone. In his length speech panctuated by frequent requests for a clap from Rutsimba, he enumerated several areas in HIDA's operations where Carol will be greatly missed and remembered. He urged her to keep HIDA in mind and to render advice when necessary.
