Under the Implementation role, HIDA provides support to MSCBP beneficiary institutions to establish effective systems of Monitoring and Evaluation in order to facilitate these institutions to monitor their own progress in the implementation of development actions undertaken. Under the Coordination role, HIDA collects information on ongoing and planned capacity building interventions in the public sector, private sector and civil society and causes this information to be shared and disseminated with a view to removing overlaps and duplication as well as inconsistencies that inhibit progressive attainment of development goals in national development. Under the strategic leadership role, HIDA initiates capacity building interventions in accordance to the assessed needs of the beneficiary institutions. Such an assessment is conducted in a participatory manner, with beneficiary institutions at the centre of the process, eg. Providing training opportunities on new and fashionable job related developments or new products on the job market like those offered by modern information technology.
